    We are co-educational nursery and primary school situated at a serene environment at 10, Ogun Street, Off Allen Avenue, Ikeja. It was established by Chief Deaconess (Mrs) C.A Morohundiya in April 1982. She established the school out of her commitment to academic excellence and moral integrity as shown by the past and present results of the school´s performance.

    Pupil of this school sit for the Lagos State Common Entrance Examination to Model Schools and the Federal Common Entrance to Federal School. Also Mayors Heights College is born from primary school and so it feeds the college.

    Co-curricular activities

    One of our strengths is the extra-curricular programme. We attach serious importance to pupils´ involvement in clubs and societies. The pupils in this school are provided with a range of activities to broaden their personal horizons. The club in the school are taekwando, chess, swimming, ICT, ballet, literary and debating, red cross/boy scouts, music and home maker. The school also organizes excursions to places within and outside the state. We also participate in Nigerian conservation foundation competition annually. The school also organize Quiz competitions annually playing the host.

    Pastoral care

    This is a Christian school and we are committed to a strong pastoral and moral care. Carefully selected verses and moral talks are given to the pupils weekly. Christian values are the cornerstone of the Mayors School. Religious instruction is in accordance with the Christian faith and like every other subject is compulsory for all pupils. However, pupil of other faith are welcome and valued.

    We give attention to personal and social development and thus putting into perspective the many areas of school activities – academic, spiritual, sporting and cultural, curricular and co-curricular in which each child participates.

    Our Curriculum

    We use the Nigerian curriculum leading to the Nigeria and Lagos State common entrance examination to federal schools and unity schools respectively. The Nursery section prepares the child for the primary education. In the primary section we offer subject like: English language, verbal aptitude, mathematics, quantitative reasoning, elementary science, social studies, Christian religious studies, health education, computer, home economics, agricultural science, music, physical & health education, fine art, Yoruba and French.
